An installation piece using paintings from the “Ref-rection Series,” which are painted on acrylic panels. Color is perceived through light. As the intensity of color diminishes with the presence of light, the materiality of color itself begins to emerge.
This work was created with that concept in mind. By installing LED lights behind the acrylic panels and placing the work in backlight, it seeks to reveal the physical qualities of the paints used in the paintings.
