MARGINAL ART FAIR – Fukushima, Hirono (2025)
I was selected through an open call to exhibit at the inaugural “Marginal Art Fair” in Hirono, Fukushima, a town once designated as an evacuation zone after the 2011 nuclear disaster.
My desire to participate was deeply personal—having spent part of my childhood near Yuriage, another area devastated by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. I also appreciated the fair’s inclusive vision, supporting late starters and women artists through a refreshingly horizontal, non-hierarchical approach.
The fair was held at Futatsunuma Park, January 25–26, 2025.
