Sea of clouds

This work is an exploration of diverse expressions on an acrylic panel. I tried painting and removing the layers many times. As a result, traces remain. The marks reveal my internal conflict and the time invested in the process.Initially intended to depict a “sea of clouds,” the work gradually shifted focus and became a study of …

To Tokyu Hands After the Rain

Using the natural transparency of acrylic sheets, this work captures the quiet atmosphere of a peaceful holiday after the rain. Various shades of white with different levels of transparency are painted on the reverse side of the acrylic sheet. Though the surface appears uneven, it is completely flat — an attempt to create depth within …

The sky where you can see ginkgos

Small works are a vital part of my practice, often serving as a space for experimentation. This piece is a study for The Architect of Transparency, exploring perceptual instability caused by varying degrees of pigment translucency. It uses whites with different transparency levels, such as go fun andzink white. KAMAKURA at night

This work was created as a continuation of the technique used in Sky with Ginkgo, with a focus on exploring the effects of mirrors.A mirror installed behind the piece reflects its reverse side.By shifting the viewer’s perspective, the illusion created within the surface changes—an effect I am currently expanding into spatial installation. 2024Acrylic on …

Day#03

TIn the fall of 2024, I explored new directions in the Ref-rection series, seeking greater diversity in expression. This small piece was created with a particular focus on depth and a three-dimensional sense of space. 2024の秋は、Ref-rectionシリーズの新たな展開として、表現の多様性を模索した時期でした。この作品は、特に、奥行きと立体感を意識して制作した小作品です。 2024Acrylic on Acrylic panel210×297mm /(Private Collection, Japan)

School Building at Dusk

This two-layered work reflects my vague high school memories. The first layer depicts the school building in a blurred, abstract way, representing how I perceived my surroundings at the time. In contrast, the students seen through the windows are drawn with clear outlines, symbolizing my focus on people rather than the environment. The piece explores …
