多摩川をテーマにしたインスタレーション作品。
多摩川での記憶や古い写真、多摩川の微生物をモチーフにしている。
それらを再編集し、時間や視点を越えた風景、私たちの目で見えるものと見えないものが同列に存在する空間を作り出そうという試みである。
この作品は、「動くミューラルアート」というコンセプトに基づいている。影や映像を壁面に重ねて構成し、それらの動きが停止しているドローイングとの間に対比を生み出す。静と動、生と死、過去と現在を感じる要素になっている。タイトル《Tamagawa Graffiti》は、ミューラルアートやグラフィティの視覚的語彙と、「記憶」という個人的なテーマを組み合わせたものである。
This work is based on the concept of a “moving mural.” It is composed by layering shadows and video on a wall surface, and their subtle movements create a contrast with the stillness of the drawings.This contrast evokes elements of stillness and motion, life and death, past and present.
The title Tamagawa Graffiti combines the visual language of mural and graffiti art with the personal theme of memory.
